HOLD THE DATE: Back to the Bay, 缅北禁地’s Annual Teaching & Learning Conference | Thursday, August 14, 2026 | 9:00am-4:00pm | Valley Business and Technology Center
Back to the Bay 2026 will feature an engaging and interactive plenary session led by Dr. Kathleen Wong Lau, Let's Talk and Engage: Dialogue, Empathy, and Critical Insight in the Classroom and Work Setting. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of faculty and support sessions focused on current teaching and learning topics, including AI in education, evidence-based models that enhance student success, accessibility and inclusive teaching practices, the science of learning, effective grading and feedback strategies, and the many campus resources available to support both faculty and students.
We encourage you to register early, as it will help us to finalize our food arrangements.

Cal State Tech AI in July! is free for CSU employees and includes a series of online sessions developed to share knowledge, insights and innovations among the Cal State Tech community! Tune in each week for different AI inspired sessions including keynotes, panels, campus showcases, and technical deep dives. Attend the live sessions or watch the recorded event on demand.

 

 

 

Mission: The Office of Faculty Development & Center for Excellence in Teaching supports faculty in their roles as teachers, scholars, and members of the university and community. We provide opportunities and space for faculty to collaborate on projects that improve teaching and student learning. We strive to enhance collegiality among faculty as we all expand our intellectual, pedagogical, and scholarly horizons. Our services are available to full and part-time CSU East Bay faculty at all stages of their academic careers.
