MEET OUR NEW FACULTY FELLOWS!
The Office of Faculty Development is excited to introduce Dr. Earl Aquilera and Dr. Meaghan McCollow as Faculty Fellows for this academic year. Beginning October 12, each will lead five workshops throughout the year and are also available for individual consultation.
Faculty who attend at least three of the five workshops will receive a certificate for their dossier and will also gain valuable new insights that will bolster student success. Workshop dates and times can be found on the Office of Faculty Development website under Programs/Faculty Fellows.

Faculty Fellow: Neurodiversity: Dr. Meaghan McCollow (she/they) is a Professor of Special Education in the Department of Educational Psychology. They have dedicated their career to working alongside disabled and neurodivergent children, youth, and adults in educational and community settings. What: Come hang out with Online Campus and ODF to swap ideas and get a little playful with AI! Jacob Miranda and Lynn Bowes-Sperry will give brief talks about how they’re using AI in their classrooms, followed by time to discuss prompting strategies, and play around with prompts together. Bring your questions, your favorite prompts, and your curiosity.

Chancellor's Office CSU OCS Fall Courses
The fall are open for registration. The program provides professional development training opportunities for FREE to prepare faculty, lecturers, and staff to design quality online and hybrid courses and use Artificial Intelligence in innovative ways. All of the courses are 3 weeks in length and in an asynchronous format. Registration is restricted to enrollment in one course over the fall to accommodate as many interested CSU faculty, lecturers, and staff.
Mission: The Office of Faculty Development & Center for Excellence in Teaching supports faculty in their roles as teachers, scholars, and members of the university and community. We provide opportunities and space for faculty to collaborate on projects that improve teaching and student learning. We strive to enhance collegiality among faculty as we all expand our intellectual, pedagogical, and scholarly horizons. Our services are available to full and part-time CSU East Bay faculty at all stages of their academic careers.
