Pioneer Supporter Orientation

  

Orientation is not just for students, but also an important time for families! We have designed a special program to address the questions and concerns family members (parents, guardians, brothers, sisters, grandparents, blended family, etc.) may have as they prepare to join the Pioneer community here at CSU East Bay. We understand that family members and supporters play a key role in helping students succeed in college.

Here is the Fall 2026 Pioneer Supporter Orientation information below:

Registration 

  • Registration for the Parent/ Supporter Freshman Orientation sessions are open Wednesday, July 1st!
  • To register, we highly recommend creating an account first with our
  • After creating an account, you can click for the registration form that is also available within the Pioneer Family Portal
  • Once you register for the event, you will receive a confirmation email that will contain a qr code and another email 2 days before

Payment

  • There is a mandatory $35 guest fee, with additional guests being $15 each.
  • Any accompanying minors under the age of 10 are free of charge
  • If you wish to pay with card or online, click to visit our cashnet website and fill the information out. Once you complete your payment, please save a copy of the receipt for verification purposes.
  • If you wish to pay with cash or check, will we accept that during check-in. It is highly recommended that you bring exact change with you for a smoother check-in process.

Itinerary

  • This is an in-person Orientation that will be held concurrently with the second day of the Freshman Student Orientation on Thursday, August 13th
  • The orientation will have check-in beginning at 9am with complimentary breakfast
  • The program should start at 10am last until 4:30pm and you will be separated from your student for the majority of this time frame. You will be able to see them during lunch time.
  • An agenda will be available on the day of, or sent out in an email prior to the start of the Pioneer Supporter Orientation.

  • Individuals requiring accommodations for the Pioneer Supporter Orientation session should contact Accessibility Services 10 days before. Email: as@csueastbay.edu

Spanish-Speaking Orientation/Orientación en español

We will do our best to offer Spanish translation services during our Pioneer Supporter Orientation sessions. If you or your family would benefit from a fully Spanish‑supported orientation, please let us know by indicating that in the registration form!

Frequently Asked Questions

While we understand that college is a new chapter in your student's life and you may want to be there every step of the way, this is their opportunity to connect with their peers and build their network. Unless prior arrangements have been made with the Parent & Supporter Program or Orientation Program Team, we will separate you and your student for the duration of the orientation session. Exceptions can be made for accompanying minors.
You can pay online through cashnet by clicking . On the day of during check-in, we will be able to accept any cash or checks. When paying with cash, we recommend bringing exact change.
The $35 fee and any additional $15 from other guests goes towards the upkeep of the Parent & Supporter Program, any merchandise received the day of the Pioneer Supporter Orientation and lunch that will be provided.
