Ãå±±½ûµØ's Student Care Team (SCT) aims to support students and ensure a safe campus environment. The SCT is a multidisciplinary group of administrators, staff, and faculty who facilitate support for students of concern.  Any member of our campus community is welcome to submit a report, and the Student Care Team will review the information and create a plan that prioritizes safety and supportive connections.   

The SCT meets once a week to discuss open cases.  It is not designed to address urgent situations involving imminent harm to self or others, or damage to property. These issues are handled directly by the University Police Department and the Threat Assessment Team (TAT). Please contact the University Police Department for guidance if you are not sure whether to refer a situation to the TAT, or the SCT.

The Student Care Team is composed of the following standing members:

• Associate Vice President, Equity and Belonging and Dean of Students (Co-Chair) 
• Associate Vice President, Student Affairs and Auxiliary Services (Co-Chair)
• Case Management Coordinator 
• Director of Accessibility Services
• Director of Affinity Programs & SEAS Engagement Initiatives
• Director of Civil Rights Office
• Director of Counseling Services
• Director of Student Conduct, Rights and Responsibilities
• Director of Recreation and Student Wellbeing
• Associate Director of University Housing and Residence Life
• Associate Dean, College of Business and Economics
• Associate Dean, College of Health
• Associate Dean, College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences
• Associate Dean, College of Science
• Representative for the University Police Department

Standing members are nominated by their respective department and appointed by the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.

Other university employees may be asked to participate on the Student Care Team on an “as needed” basis. Examples include the Emergency Operations Coordinator or Human Resources.

Confidentiality

All information discussed in the Student Care Team will be kept confidential.  The SCT will be able to acknowledge that they have received a report and may ask for additional details, but will not be able to discuss any actions taken. 

If a reporter continues to have concern about a student, they can reach out to a SCT member to consult.  If they receive additional information about the case, they can pass this on to a SCT member, and it will be added to the report.
