Registration & Tickets

We are excited to celebrate the achievements of our Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 graduates during our upcoming commencement ceremonies. Here's what you need to know:

  1. Eligibility: Graduates who have applied for graduation in Fall 2025, Spring 2026, or Summer 2026 are eligible to receive tickets for their respective commencement ceremony. If you have questions about your eligibility, please reach out to the Office of the Registrar at reg@csueastbay.edu.
  1. Registration: Students who are eligible for Fall 2025, Spring 2026, or Summer 2026 degree candidacy will receive a message in their horizon.csueastbay email to register from Tassel, our commencement tool. Students will be asked to RSVP to the in-person commencement and have until April 17 to approve one of the three AI-generated recordings of their name. If none of the versions are satisfactory, a pop-up will appear for the student to record their own name as a guide for a voice over artist. Please keep in mind that recordings are created thoughtfully with proper pronunciation for all cultures and backgrounds.

  1. Ticket Distribution: Each eligible graduate will receive 8 guest tickets for their designated ceremony which can be found on the Tassel platform when they log in. Here are the steps:
    1. Once you have already allocated your tickets, return to your Tassel registration page and hit the "View" button.
    2. Check the boxes for the tickets.
    3. Then, select either button to “Send Selected by Email” or "Print Selected Tickets”.
  1. Maximum Seating Limit: Please be aware that we are unable to accommodate any additional attendees beyond the maximum limit set by the fire marshal. Our seating capacity adheres to a specific formula that considers the number of graduates per ceremony and the maximum allowable seating capacity. As a result, we regret that we cannot issue any additional tickets.
  1. Guest Ticket Requirement: To attend the commencement ceremony, all guests aged 4 and older must have a ticket. Children under the age of 3 are exempt and can sit on their chaperone's lap. Graduates do not require a ticket.
  1. Ticket Availability for Summer 2026 Late Filing Graduates: For Summer 2026 graduates who apply for graduation during the late filing period March 4 - April 1, access to tickets will be available starting on April 17, 2026. An email notification will be sent to your CSUEB student horizon email account, indicating that you can RSVP and your ticket allocation is ready to claim.
  1. Claiming Your Tickets: Graduates are required to claim their tickets, and must use our convenient online ticketing system in Tassel which will be ready in late January 2026. Instructions on how to access your ticket allocation will be provided at that time.
  1. Extra TicketsIf you need extra tickets, we suggest you ask your fellow students who are attending the same ceremony if they have extras they can spare. Please do not ask the commencement team for extra tickets.
  1. Ticket Usage Policy: We must emphasize that these tickets are provided free of charge to our graduates and are not for sale or resale. Doing so goes against University policy and any graduates found selling their tickets will have them voided.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety and comfort of all attendees during our commencement ceremonies. We look forward to celebrating this significant milestone with you. Congratulations on your achievements!
