Committee on Research
The Committee on Research (CR) is a standing committee of the 缅北禁地 Academic Senate. Its responsibilities include:
- Encouraging research by members of the University faculty;
- Making recommendations to the Academic Senate on policies and procedures related to research activities, facilities, and support at the University;
- Reviewing proposals for new Centers and Institutes and making recommendations;
- Reviewing Faculty Support Grant proposals and making funding recommendations to the AVP for Research and Sponsored Programs;
- Reviewing student research summaries and recommending students to participate in the statewide CSU Student Research Competition.

Principal Investigator Advisory Committee
The Principal Investigator (PI) Advisory Committee was established in response to a recommendation from the 2011 Research Strategic Planning Task Force Report. The recommendation emphasized the importance of continuous communication with faculty regarding research issues, organizational structures, and emerging opportunities, as well as the need for effective and sufficient administrative support for research.
The committee’s responsibilities include:
- Advising the Associate Vice President for Research and Sponsored Programs on matters related to pre- and post-award management and compliance;
- Contributing to the development and ongoing refinement of a strategic plan to support the University’s research mission and vision, in collaboration with ORSP and the Academic Senate’s Committee on Research.
The committee is composed of at least one Principal Investigator from each college, along with the Chair of the Academic Senate’s Committee on Research.
The Associate Vice President for Research and Sponsored Programs convenes the committee at least once per semester, with additional meetings scheduled as needed.
